Election and Calendar Planning
- Elections will precede the next service, on July 10. An announcement to that effect will happen today.
- The slate is: Sofia, Zyzzy, Et, Tee, dav0, Peter, Bel.
- LG Reorganization will happen at the next LG meeting.
GA Report – Et
- The UUA board has been going through some discussions about non-traditional congregations….we would be that 🙂
- In April there was some discussion, and the decision is to continue with independent affiliated organizations at least another year.
- The 30-person 5-year committment in the rules right now seems a bit too big.
- She did suggest getting closer to CLF. I did talk to Meg Riley also.
- The CLF people are aware of us; more than one person recognized my name from the Sunday services.
- I think they understand that we are a lot more interactive than they can be right now.
- He also mentioned a CLF person thought it was interesting that we had our own comments when in SL when watching the Sunday service.
- Next year we might get formally recognized by the UUA, for whatever that is worth. But we’ll be on the same level as the UU Minister’s Association or someone like CUUPS
- We would be able to sponsor talks at General Assembly, and legitimately march in the banner parade.
Library Report – Bel
- Bel is looking for an Assistant Librarian.
- She will announce this at the service and post a notice.
Residency Report – Zyzzy
- We had an inquiry about a wedding in UUtopia. Passed on to Desire.
- It looks like Hy has become absent again.
- Pomona may return.
