UUtopia Report – Zyzzy
- We are currently 88% rented.
- Peter expanded his area significantly by taking 3×1024 adjacent parcels. Zena and Aimee moved to the north side of UUtopia so that he could do that.
Outreach – Et
- UUA-VW document and progress is on Google Drive.
- Et emailed the UUA admin to start a dialog about us becoming a Related Organization.
- The rules for becoming a congregation are tough
- 30 ppl for sole congregation
- A related organization are pretty easy
- We need to prove you’ve been around awhile
- We need an annual report
- That gets you a workshop slot at UA and recognition
- He is waiting to hear back
- Sofia’s been working on treasurer’s report
- Tee is working on an annual report
- July 1st to June 30
- Tee found the Phoenix UU Annual Report, using it as a framework
- We have a few assignments to “fill in the blanks”
- We’ll be called UU’s of Virtual Worlds
- Even if not pursuing Related Organization status, and Annual Report is a good idea
- Sofia added:
- We need to talk about fiscal year. Bylaws don’t mention it.
- Pledges run for a calendar year; financial reports have been on a calendar year
- Recommend that a calendar year be the fiscal year seems a good idea.
- Discussion
- (Et) If we can make the “activity year” the calendar year then the production of the Annual Report solves the short-term problem
- (Tee) Should we be aligned with other UU congregations?
- (Sofia) UU congregations vary. It is not a standard.
- Sofia moved to have the FUUCSL and UUVW use the calendar year as the fiscal year. Seconded and approved.
- Members of the LG volunteered to be the initial LG for UUVW, noting that they can’t be anonymous when dealing with the UUA
- Tee volunteered to “frame it out†over break
Library Report – Bel
- Spirit Park is now free for our display
- I need a join fuucsl poster for the library
- I’m putting in a new counter in January
- I’m using the main group for notices now and the LWR for admin
New Business
- (Bel) Someone brought up to me they would like to see us declutter the walk to the sanctuary
- The next LG meeting is Jan 23
